We don't always see the repercussions of sun bathing and neglecting our skin until we get older - and by then it's too late...the damage is done. But, it doesn't have to stay that way!

Don't let the name scare you! Not all peels result in peeling or even flaking. My approach is to tackle skin concerns using a series of peels spaced 3-4 weeks apart. This way we are building on results while avoiding downtime and any inflammatory response that could result in further pigmentation issues.

There is no pain, although you may experience some discomfort in the form of an itching or nipping sensation. I monitor closely the sensations my client is feeling to ensure that we keep the peel at a level that is best for your skin.
After the peel your skin will feel tight for 1 to 2 days and start to flake on day 2 or 3. Dead skin cells will flake off over the next few days few days revealing a brighter more luminous complexion. For most clients the flaking is minor and easily managed with normal face washing and moisturizing. I do recommend that clients wait 24 hours before applying makeup as your skin will be more reactive following the peel and needs some time to breath. It is very important that a sunscreen is worn every day following the peel as you will be more vulnerable to UV light (and you really should wear sunscreen every day regardless!).
